Move over Madonna, Beyoncé is taking over Super Bowl XLVII as the headlining half time performing artist.
The Associated Press broke the news early Tuesday, citing an individual close to organizers that “wasn’t authorized to publicly reveal the information.” Nonetheless, an actual announcement with more information is due to be revealed Wednesday.
Super Bowl XLVII is due to take place February 3, 2012 at the Mercedes Benz Superdome in New Orleans.
As noted, Madonna performed at this year’s Super Bowl. Janet Jackson and The Black Eyed Peas have played half-time in year’s past with special guests including Nicki Minaj and Usher.
It is unclear who might be joining Beyoncé on stage, but it would be nice to see Kelly, Michelle and maybe Solange up there.
